I bought my grandaughter YBCR system before she was born. They started using the system at 3 mos and by 6 mos she was doing the motions to the words, by 9-10 mos she was reading 1/3 of words, by 14 mos she read ALL the flashcard words, 14 months old!!! Then she learned her abc's by herself with an educational toy i bought her. My son called me and said "that toy you got her must have taught her abc's because we didn't"! This system works, I'm telling you. I have videos on facebook of her reading, singing, spelling,counting and friends are totally amazed at her progress. I will see if my son will allow me to put videos online for all to see. She is now 24 mos old and can read, spell, count, sing MANY complete songs alone w/out help, and she does puzzles ALONE made for 4+ yr olds. This is the way America can become strong again is thru teaching our youth. I would give the YBCR system 10 stars but they only let me got to 5 stars tops! Great system and thank you for it!!

This is a wonderful program...for children. Adults with low levels of patience will be grinding their teeth in a few minutes during the songs, but ignore them if you can - they're for the little one(s).
The books are a delight for my 15-month-old daughter; she made me read the sliding picture one three times last night...then she tried to eat it, but it's tough enough for a few bites at least, if not more.
Is there anything in our lives more important that giving our kids a good foundation in reading? Other than a wholesome, loving discipline towards what's right and wrong, I can't think of one.
You will not be disappointed with this program - highly recommended.

The your baby can read kit really works. This is a great product, my son picked up many words within the same week that it arrived. I would recommend this product to anyone one who who like to expand their child's vocabulary and as well as getting them started to read.

We bought this as an early birthday present for my son. It arrived when he was 11 months old. Exactly one month later (at the ripe old age of 12 months, for those who aren't good at math), he's able to read about 8 of the words/phrases from the materials. He can even recognize the words when I write them. He LOVES the books, flashcards, and videos!

started using this from the time my son was 3 months and I did wonder if it worked. My son is 2 now and I really do see his vocabulary is way more extensive than kids even the age of 6. He even started his nursery rhymes by 8 months with actions and by 12 months with words and by 16 to 18 months he knew all his alphabets and numbers till 20.
I do admit that its not as much fun as sesame street or barney to him. But its just 30 mins or educational video and the whole neuronal synapsing between 3 months to 5 yrs really does make sense. I have recommended this to most moms I know and have received similar feedback. My son is way ahead of the other kids and I do have days when I skip due to unavoidable circumstances. But when I see my son recognizing words and even spelling them everywhere I go, I come back and go strong.
This program does focus on words more than alphabets. I really think we as parents must take it upon us to decide what we need our kids to learn. This is not the sole educational tool I use. If you notice our babies are learning with every thing new they come across. Learning is more fun than a chore at this age. And there are days when I go without doing as much to contribute. But when I do see my kid responding way better than most other kids his age. I spring back up onto the job.
I have tried baby einstein too and find they are soothing for infants more than educational ,IMHO
I also wish they had these videos in HD.But Its serves the purpose exceedingly well which makes it well worth it.
