We tried several other Spanish learning programs before finding Tell-me-more. My kids found a major title awkward to use and boring. Another that I chose lacked sufficient indicators of progression. This one is a tiny bit tricky to set-up; as it uses a computer microphone. But, this is also the magic of the system, as it evaluates the learners responses for accuracy and prompts them to repeat the word or phrase if it is unintelligible.
The interface is a bit obtuse in a couple of places. We had to call support early on because my oldest daughter was unable to get past a particular screen. We learned through that call that the computer was waiting for her to say the entire phrase that made up the answer, and not just the single word that needed to be added to make the phrase complete. The wait for support was reasonable, and the representative was knowledgeable.
This is not the least expensive language system out there. But, others require you to purchase additional product as the learner progresses. The edition of Tell-me-more that we purchased includes the entire coursework for a high school Spanish course of multiple years; and can be used by more than one learner at a time; reducing the effective cost per child per semester to a very reasonable price.

I am so happy I found this for my son. He is really enjoying learning Spanish and speaking it. We both really like all of the learning options it has and the variety of activities. He doesn't seem bored at all- something we've run across before.
I would truly recommend this software to anyone helping their child learn a new language.
