4Exercises are good, but don't rely on answer key...Sep 26, 2010
By Donald Tsang
I'm not sure if the answer key was just sloppily done, or copied incorrectly, but in either case it's reasonably obvious that it wasn't proofread/edited by someone doing the (rather simple for a numerate adult) problems. It's also difficult to find where to send corrections, which reflects poorly on a supposedly-educational publisher. All in all, though, this book was not a waste of time for my six-year-old, and I guess that's what matters in the end.

5Excellent conceptual math book for first gradeApr 06, 2011
By Charlotte Hoffmann "math teacher mommy"
This math practice book contains wonderful teaching strategies from the Singapore math program including number bonds and counting on. This would be a good book for homeschooling. We use it as an enrichment tool when we have a little extra time during vacations or on weekends.
I would recommend it to parents who would like to teach their struggling kids math, because it tells you how to teach these concepts.

4good supplementApr 11, 2010
By Shopper
My son seems a little behind in math, I am using many different Singapore Maths from (...), Level 1A and 1B workbooks, the Tests and the Extra Practice and Intensive Practices, on top of this Singapore Math book. I am using this Singapore Math book after doing the other workbooks as further reinforcement, this book has the same feel but the other workbooks lay out the problems a little less intimidatingly somehow. As another supplement, I am happy with this workbook, but I don't use it alone.

5Great Extra Practice to Supplement Singapore Math CurriculumJan 04, 2012
By Jana
Loved this book and will buy the sequence as a supplement to the Singapore Math Curriculum. We have used both 1A and 1B and did all of the pages. My early learner has a great grasp on math. He thinks math is easy. When in comes to math, practice does make it perfect! We also are subscribers to IXL.com and love it.

4good for extra practice...Feb 15, 2011
By Richelle L Anderson
but only if you REALLY need it. There are PAGES and PAGES of unused problems when we were done with it because there really wasn't a need for THAT much extra practice. But it is nice to have to supplement the workbook.
