Rosetta Stone Hebrew LessonsJan 08, 2010
By K. Prescott This program is very difficult to learn without translation. After my husband and I got the program, we realized that we needed more help. Even if you have a good ear (and in my husband's case, can read Biblical Hebrew), you need to know how to pronounce each letter the way Modern Israeli's do. We chose, after much research, "Teach Yourself To Read Hebrew" by Ethelyn Simon and Joseph Anderson, published in 2008. It was under $10 without the CD, and has proved to be enormously helpful. You might find a dictionary helpful, also. Make sure the one you buy has letters large enough to read without a magnifying glass or smeared lettering. We have found the Rosetta Stone and the book make good companions in our learning Hebrew.
