This is the same great toy that the large size is, but I recommend you pay more and choose the big playscape. It is so captivating, and coupled with your own quality dinosaur models, makes such a gift of lifetime interest; it is a shame to not purchase the dramatic larger Zipbin. This size is easier for a toddler to carry, but that age passes so rapidly.

Fun Toy, Great Concept, But Very "Mini"Apr 29, 2010

This is a really neat concept - that the corners unzip and the box flattens into a play mat. The lid is also 'terrained' and adds extra interest. It's made of durable vinyl plastic that looks like it will last a long time. My daughter greatly enjoys playing with it and I like that it zips up. The dinosaurs are tiny but it is easy to go to the dollar store and find more in that size for more play value.
The reason I rate this 4 star instead of 5 is that it doesn't have a closer so the lid just fits on loosely. It would have been better to have velcro or some kind of snap to keep the lid on since it falls off quite easly. And the dinosaurs are tiny and very cheap - look like the cheapos you get from China with bad molding and poor painting.

This is a nice set for travel and I like how it all packs up, but the dinosaurs are very small, so beware if small children are in the house.

I have purchased other ZipBins in the past and loved them. They are durable and my boys enjoy playing with them and carrying around their various toys or legos in them. The mini sized ZipBin is very flimsy and does not lay flat to play on - not to mention it holds very little. You are much better off paying more and getting the medium or large size.

Twin 3 yr olds love it, but the dinosaurs breakNov 20, 2011

My twin boys love this toy. They love to open and close the storage box and they love to carry all their dinosaurs around. Makes for an easy clean up, which is good. They have spent many hours playing with their dinosaurs. That being said, some of the dinosaurs have very small arms and legs, by small I mean thin. So with a little rough housing the legs break on them pretty easily. Well, I guess it depends on your kid. One boy is good with his toys and he has never broken any of them. The other plays rough and he is the one that has broken all the dinosaurs so far! They still love them though and there are so many dinosaurs included that it doesn't matter to me or my boys if a few are broken. If they didn't break easily I would've given this a 5 for sure. For the price I would definitely buy this toy again.
