Nice background music for studyingApr 02, 2001
By Cactus Head This is my first Steve Halpern album. I'm not sure if the subliminals in this CD do any good, but the new age music on it is nice, relaxing, and not annoying. It is not distracting either. I use it to study with and it certainly helps block out unwanted noise.

I love this CD! I often put it in my personal CD player and take it to the coffee shop to help me as I study French. The music is relaxing but not sleep-inducing. Steven Halpern composes great music.

all Halpern music is the same (forwards or backwards)Mar 05, 1999
Am I the only one, or does all of Steve Halpern's music sound the same? Of course, he would say that my unconscious mind is interpreting this stuff differently. I'm not a "play it backwards" person, but due to a tape player malfunction the darn think played backward and you know what? It sounded the same. Now think what that would do to your subconscious mind! His music is soothing and great for background (either forwards or backwards). Better than elevator music for waiting rooms.
