Pretty GoodOct 24, 2011
By JulieAnne I personally like the fact that the designs are only printed on one side of each page. If you use high quality markers, you don't have to worry about ruining any of the designs due to bleed-through. However, there are two of every design in the book (save one); but that's how all of the books are in the Mindware Modern Patterns series, so I expected it. There's a good amount of variety in the designs, though most of which have pretty large areas to be colored.
Overall a decent book for the price.
Me and my daughter bond by coloringApr 07, 2012
By 808lego_family Wow this is just a simple coloring book with doubles of each page that are a great concept because I can do one and my daughter can do one. She is 12 and a budding artist and when we color together you can see your Childs creative juices going:) I had fun coloring and is a great coloring book to express yourself in art without creating a picture on your own. I plan to buy more of these types of coloring books

Like the reviewer posted beside me; I also owned this book however it is not for those who are looking for challenge but is an excellent starter for those who wants to learn to work on challenging designs and work their way up.
This is not recommended for younger children; however, if you have an artistic child who is of age 10 and over, this would be an excellent gift along with a big box of crayons or pens to encourage them to explore their creative side.
The bad thing about this is, one cannot tear out the page; not unless they have now changed the production where it is possible to tear the page out to display the artwork or to work on the project which makes it all the more easier.
HINT: DON'T LET THE FUN STOP THERE!
Get a cardboard, let them paint it with Elmer's glue and water mixture at least 2 or 3 times over their artwork (permitting it to dry between the "painting" process) or if you so like, let an adult take their artwork and go outside and spray paint with clear-coat or varnish and let dry. Then glue it on to the cardboard having the child go into another room (depending on their age) cut the artwork into a puzzle and scatter it about and call the child back and say "OH NO!" Not only will the child love it, having created a masterpiece but putting it all together makes it even more fun. Keeping it in a plastic bag will keep them entertained, even more so when you scatter two or three of their artwork and trying to solve the puzzle together makes it all the merrier! It gets tougher when you try to dump the whole book on the table and attempt to put all the pieces together! It is a good idea to take a photo and print it on paper to tape on bag so one would know which goes into which bag or what the picture looked like of their own creation. Hiding the bag without the photo image makes it a challenge.
Trust me, they will be begging for more books to color and before you know it, they will want harder and more challenging designs!
