4Perfect for Children Who Know Their Times TablesDec 21, 2008
By Math Coach
I am a math staff developer and bought this book as a fun little extra to use with students who have a working knowledge of multiplication. The children really enjoyed the designs and even made their own designs with equations on graph paper. The only thing is explaining how to fill out the grid properly to the children. They knew the missing number in the equations but needed guidance in how to follow the axis to fill out the correct box on the grid. Once they understood how to fill out, they really took of with it.

2Nonsense picturesAug 05, 2011
By Linda Jones
This sounded like such a good idea for my granddaughter to use to help reinforce her multiplication tables. But we've done the first two pages, and we haven't a clue what they are supposed to be. Already my granddaughter is resisting doing any more pages, because she doesn't want to go to all the work, and have nothing to show for it. I went through and colored the answer key to see what the rest of the pictures are supposed to end up being, and was really disappointed that I couldn't figure out what many of them were. Some of the pictures do make sense. And had they at least started out with those types of pictures, it would be an encouragement for a child to continue, even if they did an occasional picture that didn't make any sense. But to start out with nonsense pictures at the very start is a really bad idea. Maybe they should have included what the pictures are supposed to be in the answer key, so at least we'd be able to figure out what they're supposed to be, if they ARE supposed to be something.

1Disappointed-I thought the mosics would be picturesSep 01, 2011
By blueberrytrails
We did several of these. I thought the designs would be pictures as pictured on the front cover but most all of them are just random patterns:(
