Multi-Level Cards Grow With Your ChildFeb 14, 2009
By Babbles My children, 10, 8 and 5 all enjoy this game. You can play it alone, in a team style of play, or play against each other. There are over 100 puzzle cards, categorized into several levels of difficulty. Not only does this allow s kids of different ages and/or levels to enjoy the game, but it offers a rarety in educational games: the game doesn't become obsolete as soon as a skill is mastered. Instead, you just move on to harder puzzles.
It is really nice to find an educational game that encourages logic and reasoning, rather than the memorization of facts. For the price, this game can't be beat.
I would caution that the game pieces are very smooth, shiny, and small, and game pieces left out could be potentially mouthed/ swallowed by younger (toddler) siblings.

A well-kept secret in logic toys / puzzlesAug 03, 2010
By Cugel the Clever Each of the 166 puzzles presents a number of circles, where the solver must place a number of colored chips. The puzzle comes with one or more clues as to the relationships between the chips ("One of the red chips is directly on the left of an orange chip", "A blue chip is somewhere below a white chip" and so forth). That's it-- but the puzzles are quite well thought out, varied, engaging, and arranged in difficulty levels sufficient to challenge most children. As a tool for building deductive and critical thinking skills, it is worth its weight in gold.
I am not sure whether there is overlap with the Logic Links books; there are 100 or so puzzles in each book, and 166 total puzzles by comparison here. Perhaps the boxed set is a "best of" from the other books, something to be aware of. In any event the puzzles would take most children quite some time to work through, so I think this is at least a very good choice for a first pick in the series (you would then be guaranteed to encounter at least some new puzzles in the books).
The price works out to pennies a puzzle. You can't beat this value. For younger children, I would also check out "Clever Castle".

Surprisingly educational and entertaining for young childrenOct 22, 2010
By L This is another item we purchased for our daughter for Christmas (during her Kindergarten year of school) and are very pleased with. I thought we would need to 'supervise' this item helping with the reading and maybe clarifing a few directions. NOPE, none to very little supervision needed. It helps with reading, following directions, and logic skills. Reenforcing left/right direction and word recognition as well as others. She loves sitting and working on these by herself -she would perfer to do it herself without help...she really enjoys figuring it out.

Fun!!Mar 15, 2011
This is fun! I bought the logic links several months ago and they're still in new condition. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone older than 10.
When I first bought the logic links, I asked my sister if she wanted to try them out. She said 'no' disdainfully, but after a few minutes, she was figuring out the last puzzle with great interest.
I think Logic Links is great for 2 or 3 or 4 people, but also it is fine alone. There are a lot of puzzles, so it's great entertainment for a long time, especially working with someone else.

Gave as a giftDec 15, 2010

"mother of three"
Was expecting it to be more of a game, where as this is individual card solving logic questions. I gave it to a family with three children 5, 8 and 11. They enjoyed it because it has all their different levels for their age level. The mom and dad liked it because it was educational. The 8 year old seemed to keep going when everyone else stopped. I don't think it was his age as much as he liked logic. Great for kids. Very glad I bought it. My one real complaint is that they should have given more "tiddlie winks" so everyone can have enough discs to work on their puzzles at the same time.
