5math booksFeb 11, 2011
By Jarik25 "Jarik25"
I got this to see what they were like. I have a lot of nieces and nephews, and I love to buy this stuff for them when I can. I didn't find the instructions to be very clear. For example, I still don't know what on earth to do with things not beyond the decimal point. How do I explain that to them if they need it? (Well, their parents anyway.) It will be enjoyable for them though. They love to color. And not all appreciate math. The squares are not the best size, but the spaces to do the problems are. The graphs show up words one said Try Out, but I must of done something wrong cause the Y was missing...? (A problem do to the missing instructions.) Overall, this is a seemingly good book, and I will be buying this series for possibly all..18 of them. Do the math on that... Seriously, it is a decent book.

I bought this for my 10 year-old daughter who is in the 5th grade and enjoys math puzzles like this. This type of product also lends itself to familiarity with other mathematical terminology as well. It enables practice in the area of graphing, too. The games progress in difficulty. Would highly recommend.
