4cute kitty, no pounceJan 08, 2008
By R. Hansen "hansen4"
Thought I'd give some additional information about this toy. This was a gift for my daughter (age 4) this Christmas. She really likes this kitty. Of course it just walks in a straight line, with repetitive "meeewing" every few steps. It is small, but my daughter likes to snuggle with it and take it to bed with her. The box says it pounces or some sort of thing, but we've yet to see it do that. Just walking and meewing. A previous reviewer mentioned it sounds like a dog barking. It doesn't sound like a grown cat, but does have a certain kitten quality to the sound. Kittens do sound very different than adult cats. My daughter told me a few days ago that there was something in the kitty's mouth. When I checked it out there is a part that can be felt with fingers put into the kittens mouth. I think this part could "potentially" cut a little finger should a kid decide to pry around in there. However, it isn't a big enough issue for me to not have this toy around. I simply told my daughter not to put her fingers in the mouth and she is fine with that.

Overall what really counts is that my little girl loves this little kitten, and who better to review the toy than the child itself.

4Cute!Mar 19, 2010

Bought this as a gift for my 18 month old daughter since she loves cats, and she LOVES this... as long as its not on and meowing. She meows are actually little.. squeeks and I think it freaks her out. Other than that its a very cute toy and has withstood lots of drops and throws from her!

4Lil Kitty will win your little one's hearts.Sep 21, 2008
By Viviana Menta "V. M. Wrighter"
Lil Kitty came into our lives when we lost our beloved pet of 17 years. Lil Kitty will never replace the compassion and softness of a real cat, but she will provide some fun and sweet memories of what its like to have a young cat in the house. The meow's don't sound that realistic but you can easily forgive that in the cuteness in its appearance.

1Complete disappointmentNov 09, 2009
By online shopper
This toy is a complete disappointment. It makes an odd barking/chirping noise and only shifts forward and backward. I can't imagine that any child would be entertained by this toy. The shipping fee was really high. The difference in the refund and the price to ship it back is hardly worth the effort.

5Cute kittyFeb 02, 2010

My 3yo absolutely loves this kitty. She carries it w/ her all the time. Its "meow" sounds more like a bark. I think the company uses the same "squeaker" in both the dog and cat. My daughter doesn't seem to mind. It does not have a volume control so the constant barking sound can get annoying after a while. After having it for about a month and running it most days, the movements of the kitty sound mechanical and you can hear the motor. I am sure my daughter holding it while it is on does not help. We will see how long it lasts since it already sounds like it needs some WD40.
