1They are just LR44 batteriesSep 03, 2011
By William M. Wilson
They are just branded LR44s. You can get MUCH cheaper LR44 batteries here on Amazon; there's no need to buy these. Just search for them.

1Not worth the money!Oct 01, 2011
By helena joyce "allaprima"
I purchased these based on the "hexbug" brand name, hoping they would last a longer time than some of the generic batteries I see being sold on Amazon. What a waste of money! Not only were they expensive, but they only lasted a couple days before they started to wear down. I decided to go with another buyer selling 20 batteries for about 20 bucks. These batteries seem to work very well, and for the price, they seem worth it.

4Great Toy But Batteries Are Too ExpensiveJul 17, 2011
By Kelli McCoy
My boys love playing with their Hexbug Habitat Sets & I must say ... I like watching those robots run around too! However, the batteries are too expensive. Only 2 for $5.00? I found 20 Nano power cells for $10.00 by typing in "20 Hexbug Batteries" on this site ... 20 HEXBUG-Compatible Batteries They worked fine too by the way. I suggest looking around before buying these as they are very overpriced.

5BEN'S FAVORITEJan 02, 2011
By Maxwell J. Wilcomb
Ben never tires of it. It scuttles in a realistic manner across the floor (vinyl, not carpet)realistically and he constantly invents things to do with it.or just leaves it on to seek its own destiny.

It's durable and not particulrly hard on batteries. There is a downside. If the child is too young the tiny toy will probably be lost. And changng the battery will be a problem if you're not up to unscrewing a very small screw (like used in eyeglass frames. There are sets of very small screwdrivers aroun cheaply. Get a set.

5Very convenientApr 08, 2011
By be.loverly
It was nice to be able to order replacement batteries so my sister didn't have to go searching for some when the battery wears out. Plus, it's cute that my nephews think they're food.
