Tons of fun - until you run out of words!Dec 22, 2009

This game is really fun, great for a group. It would have been infinitely better if there were a way to add more words to its dictionary though - an expansion slot, with add-on packs would have been a great idea.
As-is it's fun, but just doesn't have enough words. I took it on a camping trip and it was fun for 2 hours, until we ran out of new words. For $10 it's great. For its regular price of $25-30, not so much.

Great fun!Nov 20, 2009
By Steve T. We have given this toy as gifts and played with it with many friends and everybody has appreciated and enjoyed playing with it. We have an older version and a new one. The older one has easier words but the buttons were not labeled well. The newer version has more phrases so it is a little more difficult but the problem is that the tiny electronic screen is hard to see unless the machine is held right in front of you. This does prevent your neighbors on either side "accidentally" seeing the word or phrase. The buttons on the new one are very clearly marked so mistakes don't happen. The older one had a voice that would announce the score of each team and at the end would exclaim "team 1 (or 2) wins!". The new one just displays this information on the previously mentioned tiny screen. Overall this is a game that is well worth having at home.

Awesome game so much fun, if you like word games and people this is it!Dec 07, 2009
By Jeff Russell Catchphrase is like scrabble, pictionary and charades all put into one. Describe a word or phrase to your friends without saying the word or phrase. How could something this simple be so much fun! Played for the first time last night. Just put this on my wishlist. You're missing out if you haven't played this..

Needs more words/phrasesDec 26, 2009

Our family has enjoyed the Junior Version of Catch Phrase so we decided to move up to the adult version. Overall it is a fun game as described by others. We played the adult version last night for the first time. I was disappointed that it really only has a limited number of words and phrases and relatively quickly we were seeing repeats, especially when we were only playing in one category. When you see a repeat you either skip past it (often to see more repeats) or use a word that all the players are already familiar with. I would have thought that in today's world of electronics they could have included many many more word/phrase options.

Fun GameDec 02, 2009
By elb This is a fun game for a large group of people. It brings out different aspects of people you thought you knew. Some sit there and are tongue tied, while others just start describing. If you try to label which players will do which before you start playing, I think you'll be surprised by the results.
We did find it more difficult to play with a group of adults and young teens, since the young teens were not as familiar with all the phrases, but I think it would be good for a wide age range of adults.
