too smallJan 10, 2011
By nsp I was kinda bummed when we got this- it was my own fault really but I thought this was a toy for toddler aged children. Come to find out it's only 8 inches long!!! Another annoying thing about it, is when you play it the strings can get stuck together and then it just makes this constant annoying noise until you fix it. Not really what I thought it was. If your looking for a toy for children, this isn't for you!

Very nice for a toy.Apr 05, 2010
By Jessica My daughter was thrilled to see this toy. It's not as much like a real violin as I wanted but it makes a very nice toy. She's only 2 so it'll do for now. It has multiple songs and a holder which are both great. It' just on the small side. I can't say whether or not it's durable yet, as it hasn't been through any tough hits or falls. But it's size does make me uneasy about it breaking.

great gift for music loverFeb 17, 2011
By T. M. Davis I read the other review and felt compelled to comment. This is not a toy for a toddler but instead a fun gift for a music lover. It sounds great and is a lot of fun.
Great little instrument for a budding musician!Jan 09, 2012
By Cas My daughter had spied something similar in Crackel Barrel but we had held off until Christmas time. It was cheaper on Amazon. She has really enjoyed it and because it is reasonable priced I'm not worried if she happens to break it. It allows her to make different sounds and learn how to press different strings to produce those sounds. I think its a good first little intrument. I would have liked for it be a bit longer so the chin rest could actually rest on her chin, but we've been pleased.

Misleading Violin!Dec 27, 2011
By K. Nash This "violin" is tiny! Its only a few inches long, and the strings are a joke (they have gotten stuck together and continously play the same note). Its also Loud! When I searched for "children's instruments" this came up, but since it did not have an age guide in the description, I'm not sure what this was made for?! Pass on this one...
