Little Einstein's-- They've got my kids yelling 'Alegro'Nov 18, 2005

If you are not familiar with the Little Einstein series, you really should take a look. Not like alot of Disney's other banal TV productions, this show really has merits.
I mean how can you not like a show that has your children yelling staccato and legato, adagio and allegro. And knowing what these terms mean!
Children are taught that music has `layers' and that the musical `themes' can be representative of a particular character or action. For example, a crescendo may help the sun rise, or a wave get bigger.
In addition, children are introduced to fine art, architecture, and landmarks from around the world. Examples (not necessarily from this video) include works from Gaughan, Monet, the Seattle Space Needle, the Great Sphynx, Antartica, the Great Wall of China....
Five Stars. A wonderful introduction to fine art and classical music that 'sticks' with young children. The stories combine fun, kid adventures and elements of music and art in a way that seems very natural and memorable.
Plot for this video: For their first mission, Annie, Leo, Quincy, June and Rocket help a little caterpillar become a beautiful Monarch butterfly.
Music: Beethoven's 9th Symphony. Artist: Van Gogh, Monet, Hokusai Real-world destinations: New York City, Oklahoma, and Texas.

Excellent!! Make more pleeeease!Dec 18, 2005
By Holly Rose No need for me to repeat what others have said. If your babies love the Baby Einstein series and have outgrown it then they will love this. My 2 y.o. daughter loooooved the Einstein videos and now she loves this. She adores the show and screams when she can't watch it. It is so wonderful how they introduce a composer and artist of the day. This is truly an educational show in a more genuine way than many of the others that claim to be. Unfortunately this is the one and only Little Einsteins available for sale. My daughter has watched it already 20 times at least. The tv show comes on twice a day here but I think we've seen all of them. I was dissappointed they did not have any Little Einstein toys or videos out for Christmas as it is what my daughter wants the most!

Just as great as orinigal Baby EinsteinOct 27, 2005
By Mads My 15 month old is a huge fan of the whole Baby Einstein series, and loves all the DVD's and musical CD's that he's been watching since he was a few months old. Little Einsteins is a great transition for toddlers. It's playful and fun, but is also educational and continues the BE classical music and art theme. The talking and interaction with the watcher is also great, and more advanced than the original BE videos. If your child is an Einstein fan, or you want to get your older kid into a great education cartoon - this is it.

Little Einsteins is Excellent!Aug 11, 2005
By A. Brown I received a preview CD with another CD that I purchased. My son (2 1/2) loved the Baby Einstein videos when he was an infant and loves music as a result. He patted, clapped and put his hands in the air along with the Little Einstein kids. It teaches about musical instruments, concepts, rhythm and beats and various places in the world (New York, Paris, etc.). I am so glad that Disney created an extension to the Baby Einstein series.

Based on the Preview DVDAug 11, 2005
By Drew Sundin I received the preview DVD with another Little Einstein set. I put this in for my 12 month old to watch. He was engrossed for the entirety of the film and laughed many times!
This film blends animation, orchestra, art and real-life scenes so wonderfully! The music isn't midi like the others but is a full orchestra set of some of the great classical characters. The scenes merge into reproductions of wonderful actors. The merging between animation and real life is done beautifully and artistically while adding to the fun. The characters are colorful and full of life.
This really does look like it will be better than ANY of the Little Einstein DVDs! I predict that soon Leo will be as popular as Dora as preschoolers will love this series just as much as toddlers! Oh yeah... it wasn't annoying to me at all!! I actually enjoyed watching the entire thing and was wow'ed many times.
